Mirëmëngjesi from Albania! Geetings from Albania!
It is so exciting to write a blog about our ministry in Albania. We have been in Albania since the 10th of January. From the strart, our adventure to Albania was exciting! We traveled from Romania to Albania via bus. It was a big roadtrip for the squad! We passed by Bulgaria and North Macedonia. After 19 hours of traveling, we made it to our destination, Kotodesh, Albania.
We are serving with a church named Living Waters. Our ministry centers around Adopt-a-Child and Adopt-a-Widow. The church has days where the children and the widows in the programs come in for Bible studies or kids programs. On Tuesdays, we have do a kids program where kids from the village come in. On Wednesdays, we have the woman Bible study and then we drive to another village to do a kids program. On Thursdays, the youth come to the church and we meet with them. Fridays, we Sabbath in our home above the church where we do ministry. Saturdays, we have a church service in Kotodesh and afterwards we typically go hang with our ministry hosts and dive deeper in relationship with them. On Sundays, we drive to another church location, Pogradec. This is another location of the sponsorship program. We have a church service and then Ask The Lord for the rest of the day. We have had so many God moments through conversations on the streets. On Mondays, we have gotten trained to update the biographies of the children online, in order for sponsors to be updated on their sponsored children.
In each of the kids programs, youth meetings, and church services, our team has been asked to give our testimonies to share. We each pray to see if the Lord is prompting us to share and which testimony in our lives we should share. In this season of ministry, I have seen the power of our testimonies. Each time we have gone up and shared a testimony of our lives, I can see the way God moves and works in it. He has been working in my life since the beginning, so that people could see God’s hand behind it all. Each day, God is moving and working, and that has been evident on the Race.
The power of our testimonies is so awestrucking. It has the power to bring people to Christ. Please pray that the people that hear our testimonies see God through it all. Also, pray for the rest of our time here. That we be intentional with our time and relationships we have formed.
Blessings,
Joana Quintana
