Hello everyone! I am so excited to be sharing this first post with you all and sharing a little about myself!!
I was born and raised in Commerce City, CO (30 mins from Denver) and have lived here my whole life. I am the middle child of three girls (pray for me AND my parents!) and grew up in the church. My dad was the pastor of our small church for a couple years, but when I was in seventh grade, we began to attend a different church and have now been attending for 8 years. I currently am studying at Colorado Christian University and getting my Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and an emphasis in Intercultural Ministry. This is my senior year so I am excited to be graduating and going on the World Race!
My journey with the Lord started at a very young age, being born into a Christian family exposed me to the Gospel. My relationship with the Lord did not fully expand until I was in middle school and really dove into making it a personal relationship, not just because my parents would take me to church. I went on my first mission trip with my church in 2016 to Costa Rica. Being there for that week made me realize that my true passion is helping others and loving on people. I came back home and a few months later I attended a youth conference. In that moment in my life I was asking the Lord to show me what He wanted me to do in my life. I was anxious about my future and at the conference during a prayer, the Holy Spirit showed me a vision. In the vision I saw myself in different cultures, speaking to people from different countries, and then the word “missionary” appeared. I knew that the Lord put my anxiousness at ease and I knew that that was what I would be doing with my life. Since then, the Lord has opened several doors for me to pursue missions and to take the Gospel to wherever I am going.
Now that I am graduating this year, I prayed that the Lord guide my next steps. To my surprise, that next step was the World Race! I am excited for this next journey that they Lord is leading me to and to pursue my calling.
