As we wrapped up our time with Romania last week, I wanted to write a blog recapping my time there!

Country: Craiova, Romania

Dates: November 18th-January 9th

Team Name: Gloria a Dios

Local Currency: Lei

Local Languages: Romanian, also got to hear Ukranian, Russian, Spanish

Ministry Partner Name: Hope Church

Favorite Memory: My favorite memory has to be the holidays, specifically Christmas! Craiova was big on Christmas lights and it was a different experience being away from during the holidays.

A High Moment (something really good): Our time in Romania was spent with the whole squad! There was so much growth in friendships with people and I got to see how people live on mission and their giftings! Something really good was being able to do youth events every Friday, and got to see how God is moving the youth of Craiova closer to Him.

A Low Moment (time I felt low): I struggled with different spiritual attacks. One of them was my identity and I questioned my calling to the field and had to walk with the Lord with that. Although it was a low moment, it was a huge growth with the Lord.

What God Taught Me: God taught me to fight for Him. He taught me to fight for His people. The spiritual battle is something to rejoice in because without it, we do not see the victory that we are standing in. He taught me that I need to fight for time with Him and to stay steady in who He is.

A Spiritual Growth: I have grown in learning that the Lord is speaking to me and I have to walk in obedience to share. I have also grown in dependence of Him and recognizing that there is a spritual battle, so I have to be aware of it but know that the Lord is with me.

Favorite Squad Memory (thus far): Secret Santa! It was so sweet to see how well we know our squadmates and being able to make new holiday memories! Every day was fun since it was All Squad Month, but the holidays were extra sweet with everyone!

With all of that being said…

Romania. Thank you for being a home for the holidays. Thank you for the beautiful friendships. For the growth that I have been able to walk in and for the challenges as well. Thank you for our two months together.

Please pray for our time in Albania! We have been here for a week already, so we have started ministry already. We changed teams for this country, so please pray for our team to be stacking stones for the Lord.

Blessings,

Joana Quintana
